Ms. Chenyueikoh Evone

Determination, focus Candid, moving, Daring exhilarating, uplifting,    Passion, pain which always almost led to tragedy but humor  are the words CHENYUEIKOH peter uses in  ‘I thought it was Over” . This book is remarkable for its incisive exploration of different parts of the world and his bravery towards life . The book really gives a wonderfully broad view of The Author’s life and all his  path ways to his achievement- being raised in a rural  suburb village with  little or no electricity, it also transports much of the hardship he  endured  as a child till adolescence moving from one village to another just to get the best education that nurtured him through out his life  to become a CEO , philanthropist, and Entrepreneur today . CHENYUEIKOH along with most other sons and daugters of Ngie have gone through several hard times in recent history and have been recognized by many of his clansmen and some people in some parts of the world as fighters. An autobiography which the author begins by portraying and depicting the beautiful and unique culture  of “Ngie  “ his home land - gives a better understanding to the world of where he rose , And, of course, curious about the writer behind these well-articulated piece of art . The way he describes and depicts every scene and chapter of his book gives each and everyone a unique feeling of belonging . Like the saying goes ‘ if you wanna change the world then you must start by changing yourself and your community “which  is what he did and is still doing it to date. . As a creative  and daring force, Peter wants each and every   human heart and soul, to be champion of dreaming  big no matter where life finds you , focus ,determination and hard work is all you need to live the life you want and want to carry on . His mind set revealed in this book , represents strength , empathy & truth in every chapter . I  will recommend everyone even kids to read this great piece of art for its a Dream come true for everyone who dares to dream.

I have read “ I THOUGHT IT WAS OVER!!” with much attention, enthusiasm and passion. The language, the choice of words and the details, give a feeling of living the happenings as one reads through. From page to page beginning from the origin of Teze, as a lad, through the Kitiwum outings, I realise how much you love and have a deep relationship with all these persons with whom you shared life and still share.   The pages of university adventures with their own challenges, especially the languages from French to Chines and other very tormenting moments in China and Cameroon reveal a determined and focused young man who sees the future always brighter than the difficulties encountered. These pages equally show how huddles on our paths of life can be used as stepping stones across swampy paths. This is a “must read” autobiography of Mr. Peter, especially as the last pages close with a smile manifested through the success in team work in business and charity to the underprivileged. I therefore invite struggling young people that greatness can be achieved through determination, a positive mindset and hardwork.

This book is a summary reflection on the autobiography of  Ojugache Chenyueikoh Peter.   This reflection is real , especially to those of us who have known him as a child. His days in the primary school, secondary and high schools and then University of Soa. However his story has left no stone unturned.   I appreciate the  writer’s ability to bring many of the events that took place in his  life very practically   He has been very practical and the imagery used made the narration very interesting   When I read this book, I saw in a very sorrowful  mood  the pains incurred when harvesting palm nuts in Teze-Ngie. The climbing of the palm tree, be it short or the tall old ones . Nothing can convince  someone that it was not a do-or-die economic activity.   I encourage the writer to circulate this edition. I am sure  that every reader will like to read . The language flow is excellent, the stories are interesting and his purpose is clear.

A keen observer of his immediate environment whose magnetic and retentive memory meticulously captures all that is around him, Ojugache C. Peter has successfully imprinted, forever, on the memory of each of his readers a palpable visual image not only of his childhood days in his beautiful native Teze but also of the cultures of the many peoples he has had the opportunity to encounter and interact with. Ambitious, astute, and undaunted, he dared and took the plunge, traveling the world, scouting for himself a little space in the real business world. This has paid off well, and he has - by the grace of God - reached the pinnacle of the real business world and is now a true pace setter. This highly inspirational novel is highly recommended for every child of the world who, like this author, would want to succeed in the real business world.
